PI-Hun Engineering Ltd was fouded by the Finnish PI-Consulting Oy and the Hungarian IPARTERV Co. in 1989 as a joint venture. PI-Hun Engineering Ltd is active mostly in the fields of design of industrial buildings and special structures of construction investments. Special fields:

BIOETANOL PLANT

Client: Duna Bio Kft.
The planned project includes the installation of the new bio-ethanol power plant in Adony together with the office and SGS building on a site approx. 18 ha. In the scope of the project a central office building, process buildings and stores will be built.
Fully comprehensive architectural and engineering design.
Ostentatious and showy forms were avoided when the buildings were designed. The office building consists of two parts. The lower two storeys are supporting the cantilevered upper two storeys like a footing. The neutral gray colour of the lover levels emphasise the fractional facade of the upper two storeys what follows the routing of highway No.6. The service corridors are located on the side of the building looking to the plant. The facade of the corridors is a curtain-wall structure, ensuring a full overlook on the plant and stores.
The main entrance of the building is located on the northern side opening to the east, free from wind.

Building Permit Tender and Execution Design 2007-2008.
Client: BD Hungary Kft., FWI Hungary Kft.
An approx. 40 000 sq.m building complex will be built on an approx. 21 ha site. The aim of the project is to manufacture millions of medical syringes.
The function and volume of the buildings were defined basically by the manufacturing process. Apart from these, aesthetics, usefulness and to fit into the landscape were the main aspects of the design.
Extension of KEDRION / HUMÁN BIOPLAZMA

Client: FOSTER WHEELER Italiana
The clients intention is to extend the currently functioning factory building. The factory produces drug components for medicine.
The installation of the new production line requires the enlargement of the building. As well as we rationalise the arrangement of the dressing rooms, the existing technology rooms will be slightly modified and a new gate house will be added.

HIGHWAY ENGINEERING PLANTATION
Client: UTIBER Kft.
The new yard of the Highway engineering and highway police station is planned to serve the locality of the main road M43 and the town of Makó.
The main functions of the buildings are to store the installations, tools for road maintenance, to locate its employees, and to ensure the possibility of occasional maintenance and repair operations.

MOL-CEZ OFFICE BUILDING
850 MWe COMBINED CYCLE GAS TURBINE POWER PLANT

Client: MOL-CEZ European Power Hungary
The Client is planning to build a 850 MWe electric performance combined cycle power plant, suitable to the highest requirements of todays technology.
Comprehensive architectural and engineering design.
The building is located along the main entrance road of the Power Plant just after the external parking area. Its main function is to accommodate the Gate keepers lodge, the Reception and Offices as well as Meeting rooms.
The building shall be 8.30 m high having two storeys. The reinforced concrete frame structure shall have brick filling work.
The elevation of the building shall be covered by large size cement sheets.
BIOMASS POWER PLANT
Client: Seeger Engineering 2010.
The power plant of 36,7 MW maximal output produces 10,3 MW electrical performance and 17 MW heat performance that makes up significant part of the towns heat supply by exploiting the forestry biomass of the region.
The project includes the design of the new gate house, the main building, the wood chopping building and the dispenser building
MOL-CEZ 850 MWe COMBINED CYCLIC
GAS TURBINE POWER PLANT
Client: MOL-CEZ European Power Hungary Kft.
On the plot of MOL Dunai Finomító (MOL Oil Refinery) in Ercsi a gas turbine power plant of 800 MW electric performance is being planned what uses the finerys available gas.

2X58 MWE OPEN CYCLIC GAS TURBINED POWER PLANT

Client: GEA EGI Energiagazdálkodási Zrt.
Our task was to design a new open-cyclic gas turbine power plant on the plot of the thermal power plant of Ajka with the associated landscaping and the connecting external transformers, roads and public utilities.

STRAW FUELLED BIO-MASS POWER PLANT

The site of the project is a corner parcel in the Industrial Park in Piroska Road.
There will be two entrances for the site. The entry roads will be closed by gates.
Two buildings will be erected:
No.1. Production buiding (incl. office building, chips store building, boiler house, turbine hall, service building)
BAOJI POWER PLANT, DRY COOLING TOWER, FLUE GAS PIPE
Client: GEA-EGI ZRt.
The earlier designed reinforced concrete cooling tower is now under construction. Inside the tower a flu gas washing equipment will be built. The 7 m dimameter flue gas pipe will be led into the tower. For this possibility a 24 m hight steel structure has been designed.
In the structural analysis the Chinees Standards were taken into account.
THERMAL POWER PLANT, SHUIDONGGOU
INDIRECT DRY COOLING SYSTEM 2X660 MW
Client: GEA-EGI Zrt.
A 2x660 MW output Heller System dry cooling tower is established in Ningxia Shuidonggou Power Plant.
The main contractor GEA-EGI Zrt. Appointed PI-Hun Kft. to design the reinforced concrete structure of the tower. Structural analysis was accomplished according to the chineese standards.
